Our guests and visitors consider us to be a friendly and welcoming group of people. Our mission statement- “A faith community offering hospitality, hope, and healing” – reflects who we are. St. Peter’s has served our community since 1744. We are a diverse community with many long-time residents of this area, yet are blessed to have families and individuals from various backgrounds, places, and occupations.
Our eight o’clock service on Sunday is a traditional (Rite One) worship service: average attendance about 20. Ten o’clock service (Rite Two) is a family eucharist or communion service (average attendance about 60) with a short talk around the altar with our children, various liturgies from The Book of Common Prayer and Enriching Our Worship. Sermons are based on each Sunday’s gospel, and are connected to our daily lives and the practices Christians use to grow in their relationship with God and neighbors. Sunday Schoolis offered during the service, with children returning at the Peace for communion with their families.
Wednesday morning at 10:00, we have a thirty minute silent meditation call “Centering Prayer” in our small chapel, followed by a thirty minute communion service with a prayer for healing (average attendance is 15). At 11, we have an hour long group Bible study.
You are welcome at any or all of these worship services.
